Portfolio

  • Lawyerlink.nl – A social and business network application created specifically for lawyers. This projects is kind of open-ended so a lot of changes are expected, and we feel confident that we can handle these changes without creating spaghetti in the process. [Unless, of course, we're multitasking in a cooking class on Italian day].
  • Vacaturebuttons.nl – A very special project where most of the initial development was a javascript “button” to share a job opening through social media. This button has since been spotted on nuwerk.nl, monsterboard.nl, werkenbijhetrijk.nl to name but a few…
  • Ziggo is the largest TV cable company in the netherlands, and we provide assitance to their IT department whenever anything PHP related comes up. All projects for Ziggo are built on Zend Framework.
  • Barstarz.nl – a complete website and design. This was the first Zend Framework based project we delivered, when it was still in it’s 0.something phase.
  • Our first Magento project, released at the end of 2008. Consisted in a complete import of existing customers and products. Based on a default template, but modified quite extensively in functionality during checkout.
  • Cardgate is a payment gateway for various payment methods. I was involved in the initial planning, coding and documenting of the gateway. Since then I have also provided plugins for this gateway for osCommerce, Zencart and Magento.
  • Behangersbedrijf Olofsen – a complete website and design.
  • Gramedia is the commercial side of the Amsterdam “Grafisch Media Instituut”. They branched out into courses in PHP and Javascript, and so I did some teaching.
  • Dataconnections utilizes software that was developed in-house. When their lead developer left the company they were in need of someone to maintain the code and add functionality. We also implemented Subversion and dev/test environments.
  • Netlog was in need of a specific module to import contacts. I have a lot of experience with data imports and exports, and remote connections, so we delivered a class that does the job.
  • Easycleanup delivers personnel for construction sites and companies, and they where using a legacy Access database to manage worked hours. We re-wrote that into a web-application built on Zend Framework.
  • Totalwebvertising has an ad network that is used on thousands of webpages, which translates to over a hundred million queries a day. They use PHP and MySQL and we have provided support anytime their setup reached a performance bottleneck they had trouble finding.
  • I did a short consulting job for their migration to Apache Lucene, when MySQL fulltext indexing just wasn’t good enough anymore. We used Solr to connect PHP to Lucene and assisted in rerwiting the search routines to include the new Lucene results.
